The maximum size of a print from a digital photo depends on its resolution - that is, the number of megapixels your camera has. The more megapixels, the larger the prints you can make. For example, a 3MP camera can produce high quality prints of about 5"x7", but any larger and the lack of sharpness and detail begins to become apparent. To make larger prints, you either need to use a camera with a higher resolution, or use Clarific to increase the resolution of your images for you.
5MP is enough to make a print of 8"x11" but if the shot is cropped, pixels are lost and this reduces the size of the print that can be made. If a print of either of the above images is made larger than its resolution allows, the result will not look crisp and sharp. Below is shown how a print of one of these images would look close-up. Move your mouse over it to see it without being processed by Clarific.
Close-up of result. Move your mouse over the image to show the unprocessed original. Clarific has doubled the resolution of the image as well as removed most of the noise, which allows you to make larger prints with the same photos. It is unique in its ability to deal with especially noisy images. See the noise removal gallery and magnification gallery for more examples.
